This happened at a restaurant behind the Assunta hospital in Ampang (or at least I think it’s Ampang). I ordered a glass of water from this ancient waiter. I was sitting facing the kitchen, and so I watched him move about his work (note: I don’t normally watch waiters. Unless they’re pretty. Just had [...] Voice: “There’s chocolate milk in the fridge” Me: “Uhuh…” Voice: “Don’t drink the one that’s…” Me: “…what did he say? Fuh…” Hours later. Walk downstairs, open fridge. See two cartons- one in lying horizontally, the other upright. Think logically. Don’t drink… The one that hasn’t been opened. Right. Horizontal one should be the opened [...] Thursday. Flight to Bali. Only had three hours of sleep (you can guess what I’d been up to the previous night), which really wasn’t helpful at all. Took a taxi to the airport- my second visit to the LCCT, I think. The first was for the Sarawak trip way back in February. Don’t think [...] Bali. Flight is at 10am tomorrow. Bali is an island. It belongs to Indonesia. Tourists like it. That’s pretty much all I know about the place. And that a few months ago, this Nik Aziz lookalike cleric preached to his followers that ‘tourists are maggots, walking around naked’ or something like that. People like [...] It was raining in the morning when I woke up, which was wonderful. I had to go into the wilderness known as KL to get info from ATC, which wasn’t. RapidKL. Long time no see. Stupid seatless buses- you’d think that more seats would be better- what happens when there’re more than 3 so-called [...] One of my chaotic dreams again. I remember a fight between a group of actors and their coach, and then a short skirmish between one woman and a man against a group of soldiers and a tank. Somehow that bit seemed a little like Motoko and Batou from Ghost in the Shell. More nonsense [...] A new personal record The weather here has been rather gloomy recently, which might scare some people away (perhaps even me). Luckily, something came up that I can happily post- that’s right, I achieved a new personal best for Window’s Solitaire, shaving off about 4 seconds from my previous record. Here’s a [...] I stood outside the college as the evening sun warmed my numb body. It’s warmth didn’t help the pain in my feet. Walking forward, backwards, the slightest movements of the muscles in my feet dragged forth a jolt of pain in my defenseless ankles. Damnable Italian shoes. I suppose Italian men’s ankles are right [...] I do believe that I am cursed. Nothing that could cause deaths of people around me, or a sudden failure of the harvest. Nothing that dreadful, I’m afraid. It’s happened enough times for me to make this statement. I suffer from the ‘first day’ curse. That’s right. ‘First day’ curse. I got out of [...] College life resumes tomorrow. I thought of doing a degree in psychology, since I assumed it’s the hardest subject I could possible jump into- besides the fact that it’s not law. The major problem with psychol, however (besides the fact that people like to call it psycho) is that I couldn’t find a solid [...] |
